Rob Warden and Ron Martin both entered the flooring trade in the late 80’s. They both started at one of the largest installation outfits in the tri-state area at the time. Working at a very large installation shop, they were exposed to many different flooring installations, both commercial and residential. In addition, there was a four-year program of schooling. Both Rob and Ron graduated from the St. Paul Technical College program and continued working at the same shop, all the while dreaming of someday starting their own business.
As a result of their training and work environment in their previous jobs, which included doing a large amount of work for the upscale Dayton’s residential shop, they had all the skills needed to build a reputation as a quality installation team.
The showroom was constructed, and accounts were established to begin the “Sales and Installation” era of Performance Floor Covering. Since that time, Performance Floor Covering, Inc. has been doing work for all the accounts they have gathered through the years, as well as building their own customer base for the future.
With a reputation as being “straight shooters”, the growth continues to this day. Both Rob and Ron are involved in all aspects of the business, and if you choose Performance Floor Covering, Inc. for your flooring needs, you may meet them in the showroom as well as on the job site!
